We LOVE going to our Grandpa's cabin! Especially the first time after the LONG Winter Break!!
Here is one of the reasons we Love Eating at Grandpa's Cabin!! We believe this really is a MAGICAL Stove!! Everything is delicious that gets cooked on it! :)
When I was little I thought the dishes at the cabin were SOO cool! I used to love drinking my hot chocolate from this little teacup & saucer...and then so did Kaycee...and so did Janey...and now Abbie gets her turn with it!! (There used to be more than one...but this is the only one left...so we've all learned to share...AND be Very Careful with it!!)
Here is Reed indulging in mine and his FAVORITE part of breakfast...the toast cooked on the stove and smothered in homemade strawberry jam!
I remember loving to sleep in after our late nights playing card games or sitting around the campfire, and wake to the smell of my Dad's Yummy Hot Breakfast! The tradition is definitely getting carried on...and my girls get spoiled the same way!
Here is why we love Fishing at Yearns Reservoir:
There is a 99% chance everyone will catch a fish...
(with a high possibility of them doing it on their own)

and have a great time together!!

So Fun! Gotta love all those cabin memories...I need to see that addition to your cabin! We are headed to the mountains for a long cabin trip next month--the kids can't wait!
I'm so with you....it's what is NOT there that I'm sure is the best. Great to be "unplugged" from normal life for a bit.
Gotta love the cabin!
It was fun to get caught up with your blog. All of it was enjoyable and very neat with the pictures from the cabin, the fathers, summer fun and of course the ball games!
Mom
too many wonderful memories down there - this blog got me all choked up.
sure hope we get to take a trip down there this summer!!
Oh what great pictures! There is no place like the cabin. It's our families favorite place to go. Your family looks so happy in those pictures! How can you not be. Glad you had a good time.
I've only been there once but I still remember all the little details that you talked about! And I even caught a fish :) A little piece of heaven on earth, for sure.
