Seven Peaks Fun!
Jug's work party was at 7 Peaks this year. They reserved the park from 4-11pm and provided dinner and lots of fun snacks and activities. They usually give passes to Lagoon so this was nice diversion that was a little closer to home and a lot less hot! Abbie was big enough to go on all the slides or at least sit on our laps so that was a first for our family...nobody had to stay at the kiddie pool! I forgot how hot the cement gets and how gross the bathrooms are, but I also forgot how much FUN the kids have there...and how much we laugh (and scream!) on Boomerang! It was funny to be there with a bunch of computer workers. Jug and I laughed about how many people reminded us of Dwight Shrute! All in all we had a great time!

Scout Camp Survivor!
(Eager to get going!)I should actually have a picture of me posted here seeing as how I was the one most concerned about Reed going to scout camp! But as you can see he is no worse for the wear after spending 4 days at Fish Lake for his 1st scout camp! Many thanks to the leaders who put it all together and oversee the whole event. They are the TRUE SURVIVORS!

Wember when...?
Ever since I became a mom I can remember one phrase of advice that was given to me consistently by various different people..."Write It Down!" They were referring to the funny things that my children had said. "You may think you will remember it....but you won't." Well, those people were right! And unfortunately, I haven't been very good to listen to their wise counsel! But...starting today I am going to try to do better...beginning with this post! In fact, I am hoping this whole "blogging" thing helps me do better with documenting lots of things and thoughts that have been overlooked and set aside for many years in our family! So here goes a few that I can think of at the moment...hopefully I'll be able to remember more!
Abbie: "Mom...wember when we went to Galoon? That was so fun!"
Janey: "That new monitor isn't working...it gets stuck between 80&100, instead of going all the way around." (Referring to our new outside thermometer...that she thought was a clock!)
Coleman: "That guy has 'fancy' arms!" (Referring to a man with MANY Tattooes on his arms!)
Abbie: "I saw a dead snake out there...but him's doing Fine."
Janey: "Is it illegal to wear a cami without a shirt over or under it?"

Locks of Love: "Hair today...gone tomorrow"

Here is Kaycee sporting her new summer hair cut. She donated 8 inches to Pantene Pro V's Locks of Love program. She was able to give three 8" ponytails. Their site says it requires six 8" ponytails to make a child's wig. Hopefully her summer heat relief will help make someone's life a little better.
