Back to the basics...City League Baseball!

It was an absolutely GORGEOUS sunset, and quite fitting as we watched Coleman's short and sweet city league baseball season come to a close.
Coleman did a great job on the Salem Royals!
It was just what he needed this summer!
A low key, no practicing, 2 game a week team!
And from a parent's perspective...it was HEAVEN!
We have had our fair share of the "accelerated" sports world.
It has it's ups and downs, good things and bad things.
The older the kids get the more we realize,
it really is...and should be simply kept to the playing of...
A GAME.
It's just better that way!
We Love You Coleman!

"Blue-Eyed Bakers"

 These two LOVE to BAKE!
I love having them in the kitchen with me.
They encourage me to keep up on our dessert/treat resume!
We all loved this fresh fruit pizza!
YUM!
We love these girls too!

Meet Clyde and the Dynamic Duo!

Well, it took A LOT of coaxing but the parents finally gave in to get a new dog!
This is CLYDE.
So far he has been a wonderful addition!

And while we were at it...we kept two of the neighbors kitties to add to the family farm!
The girls (and boys!) have had a great time with these funny cats!
He's got big PAWS to follow in, coming after our dear Danner Dog, but so far he's a keeper!

Today was Father's Day/Roy's Retirement Party!!
Eileen wanted to have a big LUAU to celebrate!
The girls were darling in their grass skirts!!
The boys did their best to look the part as well!
Roy had all of his grandchildren there, except for Chloe who was celebrating her High School Graduation on a fun trip!!
We are so happy for Pops!
He has been such a hard working man all of his life and deserves a little "time off" from the construction business!
He will still be working though, as he and Eileen have accepted a call to serve in the Cleveland, Ohio Mission!  They will be great missionaries!
We are grateful for their good examples!

The kids were having a fun time with Mike & Sheila's dog, Lucy!
(She Loved Kaycee today...it was so funny to watch her run up to her and get all excited!!)

 Abbie & Jacky
Coleman didn't quite have the same attraction as Kaycee did...but they did great too!

Happy Father's Day to all of those wonderful men out there who do so much for their families!
I feel lucky to have the Dad I do...and so grateful my kids have the Dad they do!!

Basketball in Sunny St. George!

Reed LOVES to get his picture taken...can you tell??
Especially at the Dr.'s Office!
We are getting into a bad habit of summer injuries!
Boo!
A broken foot for Reed=
6 weeks in a boot+3 more weeks of limited activities=
NO SUMMER SPORTS!
Sooo Sad! :(
He is bummed!
This means only 1 boy to watch  play at Salem Hills Summer Camp.
Lookin' good on that free throw Coleman!!
(Oh...and 1 boy to watch coach!  No picts this year.)
It is always a nice break to getaway to the warm, sunny air!
The girls and I really enjoy our time together!
We missed Kaycee this year who was at her BYU Basketball Camp.
Three cheers for the good life!
Get better soon Reed!!

Abbie's Baptism

Today was Abbie's special Baptism Day!
She has been looking forward to this for a LONG time!!
She looked so cute and sweet in her new dress!
Abbie asked Reed to baptize her!
He did such a great job, it is a memory I will never forget!
(It was exactly 8 years ago, June 2004, that Reed was baptized and Abbie blessed...the day before Grandpa and Grandma left for their mission in Nauvoo!)
TIME FLIES!!
Dad confirmed her and did a wonderful job as usual!
It's hard to believe this was our LAST Baptism!!
She shared her baptism with her cousin Jason.
These two are only 2 weeks apart and shared their blessing day as well!!
It was wonderful!
This definitely goes down as one of those days that we really felt we had a little piece of heaven here on earth!!
Congratulations Abbie!
WE LOVE YOU!!!
