Reed survived his first year of Junior High! Both he and Kaycee won their student council elections and will be involved with the Mount Nebo Junior High student government for the 2009-10 school year....go Panthers!
They received these "sweet" T-Shirts at the year end Awards Assembly for keeping a 4.0 GPA throughout the entire year. We tease them both about being a part of the "NERD HERD", but we hope they both know we are really pleased with their academic achievements!! Good Job Kids!!
So, what have we done so far with this so-called summer "vacation"?
Well, to start things off,
we have lost teeth!
We have played baseball.
We have planted the garden!
We have played more baseball...
with cousins...
and with friends!
We have taken care of our new kitties,
LeBron and Sparky!
We have played MORE baseball!
We have even sewed a little, and finally finished our Easter Skirts!
We have sent Reed to Scout Camp,
and Kaycee to Girl's Camp!
Despite all of the rain, we have watched our plants and gardens GROW!
And...we have watched Jug finish a fence around the garden!!
And we have watched MORE BASEBALL! 
We have re-aquainted ourselves with the Primary program thanks to a new church calling!
And we have lost MORE teeth!!
And did I mention we have seen a LOT of baseball? (I can remember my Grandma telling me: "I raised your Dad at a ballpark." I think I am beginning to relate!)
But, luckily we have still found time to just:
HANG OUT!!
So, with all that said we give 3 Big Cheers and a SHOUT OUT for what will hopefully be the beginning of a LONG, FUN Summer!!
(That will most likely contain even MORE BASEBALL!!)

Just like football, you can never have too much baseball! Fun times...we're only 2 weeks into summer and already I'm exhausted...too much fun! Way to go Kaycee and Reed on being a part of the NERD club! Jax and Emmy are in the club too...I wish I could have been in the club ...I think they called my club the AVERAGE club :) Sorry my visit didn't work out Shelley...and I was so looking forward to it!

Way to go to Kaycee and Reed, It doesn't surprise me you're 4.0 students! What ever happened to the lazy days of summer, huh? :) It's a great time in our lives. Enjoy every second of it.
So so so true, I love the hanging out part, and of course.....the baseball part :)
No wonder the summer went by so quickly--you never came up for air. But what could have been more fun?
