Dance Competition!

The girls were participants in the Payson Drill Dance Competition this year.
It was local and low key...just what we like!!
Janey is actually taking a "cheer" class from Miss Cassie this year.
She is having a blast.
This was also her 1st Dance Solo!
She is adorable to watch dance!

We only videoed Abbie's class dancing...darn it.
Too much going on I guess!  They are all really cute and we love their fun dance to
"Hey Micky"!!
Janey did great...she took 2nd place on her solo!
Good Job Girls!!

The Big 4 0 for Jug!

Here are all the kids and Jug partying it up on his
40th Birthday!
To celebrate we introduced the family to TUCAHNOS,
Coleman wanted to know why he never knew about
 "this place"!
Afterwards, we walked over to the candy shop/toy store at the riverwoods where everyone was entertained!
It was a fun, quiet night.
We love being together as a family.
We love JUG!
The world is a better place with you here!
Here's to another 40+ years!!

Sunny St. George Baseball

Every year we get to head down to Sunny St. George to watch the boys play baseball!  This year was no exception.  We love to get away to the sunshine after the long cold winter! I was caught up in a book this trip and got super lazy with my camera. I actually only took these two pictures of the kids at the pool...sorry Reed!
You did great though!!
Here's to warmer weather and more spring!
I will get  baseball photos soon!

2nd Grade Friendship Program

Abbie had a speaking part in the 2nd grade
 "Friendship Program".
She did great!
It was a cute program with lots of fun songs and good thoughts on being good friends.
What a nice message for 7 year olds!
Kaycee snuck away from the high school
to come watch!
Here's Abbie's awesome teacher, Mrs. Anderton.
We love her!
And these cute girls are some of Abbie's Best Friends!
We love 2nd Grade!!

Preference 2012

Salem Hills High really knows how to pack in the dances...one every month it seems this spring!
Kaycee has taken a little break from girl's choice dances this year...but decided to go to Preference. We were lucky to find a screamin' deal on this gorgeous purple gown.
(I love that word!)
The girl in it isn't too shabby either. ;)
Pretty shoes!
Her VERY fun date, Kyle Adams.
He is literally a laugh a minute!
All these dates can make a dent in a kids budget...we offered to host the dinner at our house and all 8 girls were takers!  It was so fun to get ready for!  I loved using my fine china and borrowed some fun dishes  from Grandma too!
The menu consisted of:  fresh greens with berries, homemade rolls & honey butter, chicken cordon bleu, baked potatoes with sea salt coats, honey green beans with cashews, and mini fruit pizzas
with raspberry sherbet.
It was a hit!
The dates were darling!  So well mannered and polite!
Janey and Abbie were a BIG help,
as well as lovely servers!
A very fun and YUMMY night!!

He's STILL going...

I used to think baseball was the never-ending sport...but Coleman's basketball team is giving it a run for the money this year!  These boys started back in October and are STILL GOING!
It has been a successful season for them and they are getting better and better!  It is a fun group to watch.

One fun part is getting to go to the different High Schools to watch them play.  Coleman has had a couple of different opportunities to play on the same court his Dad did during his glory days in the hot sun at Pleasant Grove High School!
It never occurred to me during all those nights in the gym watching ball games that 20 years from then I would be back watching my OWN BOY play there too!
Jug's senior year he had a high of  SEVENTY NINE 3 pointers...he has taken plenty of harassment from others about why he didn't just finish with an even 80.
Well, after Coleman hit this three on that same court I told him he should rest easy knowing Cole picked up where he left off and gave the Jacklins their even 80!!
Keep up the hard work Coleman...we love you and are very proud of you!
