8th Grade Football

 Another season of Football has come and gone for Coleman!

 As usual, there was lots of LEARNING that went on with this game.

It's a good thing!

Coleman worked hard.  His team worked hard. His coaches worked hard.
Mom drove to HUNDREDS of practices.

There are highlights and lowlights in every practice and every game.

Good life lessons to learn! 

This game ending score was definitely the highlight of the season...

it sent their "underdog" team to the SUPERBOWL!!!

 Sadly, the superbowl didn't end in their favor...which was no surprise!

But we we were still glad to be there!

 Good Work Coleman!!

You are # 1 to US!!!

My testimony was strengthened on the emphasis that the Lord is "Hastening His Work".  

I am excited to have my family be a part of it, and hope I can enjoy every minute we have on this mortal journey together!!  

General Conference really is THE BEST!!

ACL Repair Round 2

Here is Kaycee...the all smiles veteran...getting ready for her second ACL surgery!
We laugh at this...because there was a rookie girl getting her first that was anything but smiles!!
It was a crazy night at the ER so it didn't take much to humor us...or the nurses!!

Here's the good work...we liked that they had Kaycee write YES on the knee that needed the repair!

Would've hated to have them scar up the other one!!

SHHS Homecoming 2012

It's that time of year again...HOMECOMING!

This year Kaycee got asked by one of Reed's best friends, Brad. 

So we were able to convince Reed that it would be a great date for him to join in on!!

 

I think being able to Drive Pop's Truck was also another convincing factor!

Homecoming Powder Puff Game

Well...since Kaycee got the news about her knee 

she has had to work through a lot of things emotionally, and give up few things physically!!

(Her Senior Soccer Season, Social Dance Class to name a couple)

  But she was DETERMINED NOT to miss out on her Senior Powder Puff Game!!

Her team, "Abusement Park", are the defending champions!

I think this is the Happiest we've seen her since she got the news!

 Honestly...I can't think of any place I would rather be, 

at any other time of year, with any other people!

Beautiful Jackson Hole!

 We have always love Jackson Hole and the Grand Tetons!

They are truly magnificent in their beauty!

 We were so excited to join my parents and a few of my siblings and their spouses on a wonderful weekend getaway to this beautiful place!

 We actually also met up with a long, lost relative on my mother's side!  It's good to connect with family at all  levels!!

 I stole a few of my sister's collages that give a great documentation of our super fun weekend!!

 Not only did Mark and Leisa provide these wonderful photos...but they were our basic "Guides" for our trip!  Including the fun canoe trip!!

 We cherish the fun times we had together and are especially grateful for the wonderful memories!!

 Good times, with great people at a beautiful place and a wonderful time of year!!

Oops...she did it again!

Well...sadly, Kaycee got some very disappointing news today.

A couple of weeks ago when she was playing soccer at Springville she got a bad kick to her knee and felt a slight pop.  She didn't think much of it and has continued practicing and playing with some minor pain and swelling.  Last week she went in for a physical and some immunizations she needed for her CNA class.  The doctor asked if she had anything bothering her and she mentioned her knee.  He did a quick evaluation and immediately recommended she visit with our ortho and get things re-checked.  He said it looked loose and didn't seem fit for playing soccer.  Well, to make the longer story shorter...she met Dr. Carlson, who did some testing and then recommended an MRI, which came back with her ACL being torn AGAIN!  SO, SO SAD! :(  Needless to say, high school sports will be over for her and her surgery is scheduled for October 4th.

Labor Day in Logan

 For Labor Day Weekend this year we were lucky enough to get up to the Brigham City Temple Open House!

 It was such a wonderful opportunity!

 I love being in the temple with my family!

It got us very excited for the Payson Temple to 

get finished up!!

 We appreciated Leisa helping arrange the tickets for us and enjoyed being there with Emily and Jake & Lindsey's family!

 We missed Mark who was working out of town.

She was a gracious hostess, as usual, and let us spend the weekend unwinding at her place!

When we can't get away to Disneyland...

we just head to her house and it's a pretty close second!!

 She also did a mini senior photo shoot for Kaycee  while she had her soccer uniform!

Go Leisa...AUNT of the Year!!

It was truly a weekend free from our Labors!!
