Good Bye City League...

Ten years ago when Kaycee was 4 years old we were talked into letting her and Reed play on a Pleasant Grove T-Ball team! Little did we know at the time, that this would be the beginning of many "City League" teams for Kaycee!

It wasn't long after moving to Payson that she was quick to get involved in the city's soccer program. Which kept her happy until 3rd grade, when she wanted to give basketball a shot, and then track, and then swim team, another short (and undocumented) season of softball and eventually she even took on a season of flag football with Reed.

Finally, this past winter we signed her up for what will most likely be (at least I can't think of any more girls city league teams available after 8th grade) her last city league experience...Basketball!

She was happy to get a couple of her good friends on her team, and had one last chance to have her Dad as her coach!

Last night, after making it to the second round of their year end tournament her team was defeated, ending what has been a great 10 year run for her.

I think it is safe to say there are some parts of city league she won't miss (see above photo).
But overall, I think we would all agree that these sports programs have been good for Kaycee, and she has been good for these sports programs!

She has learned a lot, and made significant improvements over the years. High School is now just around the corner, and as we close one door hopefully, another will open.

With lots of practice, and discipline your future is bright girl! Keep up the good work! We love you!!

Are you sure this will be Jug's last chance to coach her? If he thought the sophomore boys were fun just think GIRLS BASKETBALL!!!
