Fourteen years ago we became parents! Little did we know at the time that this would be the most rewarding experience!! Kaycee Joan joined our family on Wednesday, October 12, 1994 at 5:42 pm. She weighed 7 lbs 110z and was 19 inches long. Despite feeling very overwhelmed and inadequate for this new responsibility we felt an immediate love for this sweet little girl.

So, the real question is: how does this 7 lb bundle of joy turn into this...beautiful 14 year old young woman in what feels like just a few months??! Time really needs to slow down!!

Kaycee celebrated her birthday with a delicious crab dinner, which was eagerly welcomed at the end of our "Fast Sunday"!

And following in her Dad's taste...chose Homemade Apple Pie for her Birthday Dessert!

We are so glad to have Kaycee in our family. Being the oldest she is our "practice run" in so many ways! She makes life easy on her parents and sets a great example for her younger brothers and sisters. We hope this a great year for you Kaycee! We all love you very much! Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Kaycee! Did you know that when you were tiny, your mom would break your cheerios in half so you wouldn't choke? You are a very loved girl by many! Happy Birthday.
Happy Birthday Kaycee! Tell your mama your family can stop in any time...all 7 of the troups!
Happy Birthday, Kaycee... sorry a little late. We hope you had a good one. You look adorable as usual. Your dad looks awfully young in the first pic. I remember the day you were born, too.... bold girlfriend of your mom's brother prancing on into the delivery room shortly before you were born. Wow. What an impression. To many more years ahead. Life just gets better and better. We love you.
PS...LOVE the fall back ground for your blog! I may need to copy you!!
Kaycee you really have blessed all of our lives. I remember the day you were born and how long it seemed I had to wait until we could come and see you at the hospital. You were and are so sweet and I have too many to count wonderful memories of you. I hope that this is will be a great year for you and I feel lucky to be a part of your life. Love you!!
