I am enjoying the fact that our children are learning to love our family's "traditions". There are certain experiences that I want to be important to our children. I believe this starts by having "small and simple" traditions mean something so hopefully someday the "big and more important" traditions will remain a part of their lives.

One of these "small" traditions is our annual FHE lesson on "How Tom the Turkey Got His Colorful Tail Feathers". Earlier this month I was pleasantly surprised to hear Kaycee excitedly declare that she would be the one giving the lesson. She did a great job and even remembered to include making their own "Thankful Hand" Turkeys.
Here are a few of the blessing we are thankful for this year:
*My Family
*The Grass
*My Kitty
*My Home
*Food
*Our Pets
*Friends
*Jesus
*The Temple
*A Healthy Body
I am truly grateful for the opportunity I have to be a wife and mother. It is one of the greatest gifts and blessings I have ever received. Even though some days are a little more difficult than others, the happiness and joy it brings into my life is definately something to really be "thankful" for! Happy Thanksgiving!

I am thankful for my good friend Shellay...she's my beacon on the hill...my nightlight in the dark...and my Tivo on my TV :)
That sounds like a great tradition.
Those turkeys look great. Why didn't Abbie cut her hands/feathers and cry "I can't cut my hands?"
