Sooo...some events in life are so memorable I take tons of pictures of them in hopes that I will never forget them! This poses a bit of a problem when it comes time for me to journal them. I don't know which ones to use or how exactly to put into words the wonderful feelings I have about the experience.
By the looks of the pictures posted below...this may not appear to be one of those occasions!! But, in reality these 24 hours together with my family were truly some of the sweetest we've shared! I have put off posting about it...because I haven't felt like I've had "time" to do it justice. But now, I have decided the memories will be better served in my mind/heart anyway...and a visual reminder with the pictures below will hopefully be a great way to never forget about this choice outing!
It started with a simple request from the little girls to borrow "Pops MotorHome" and go for a ride!
We then decided to take the kids up to Kamas and over Wolf Creek Pass to show them Hannah, and Tabiona...the place where the Flinders' Family started! Shortly after Grandpa Neil and Grandma Joan were married they moved there to teach seminary. We were able to find the little white house they lived in...now yellow and minus the cute picket fence!
Tabiona probably hasn't grown too much in population, but their K-12th grade school has been recently remodeled.
Luckily for us, they kept some of the "old school" playground equipment that our kids seriously had a blast on....for almost 2 hours!!!
(Memorable quote from Coleman: "How can we be having so much fun on a school playground?"
We also enjoyed browsing through the ONE store Hannah offers!
And having breakfast at their yummy cafe!!
We all agreed that we could definitely go small town....for awhile at least!
It was a beautiful drive and we were able to find this gorgeous little spot next to the river to park the RV for the night.
It was heavenly to breath in the fresh mountain air...and be where nobody else was!
I believe this trip really did strengthen our family's relationships.
And allowed us time to ponder on what really matters.
I am very grateful for this beautiful world we get to live in, and for parents who got things started off on the right foot and for a family of my own who strives to stay on the good path!
Even if it includes a little electronic DANCING!!!
It really is a good life...and I am thankful for it!
Especially these people!!
xoxo
