In the past I haven't made it on too many field trips.
I have usually justified my hours of helping in the classroom, and with PTA, as sufficient "parent volunteer time".
However, this year, I was actually asked to go as a Paid Supervisor on the 4th grade field trip!
That made both me and Janey very happy!!
We had a good time at Camp Floyd and learned a lot!
