Coleman's 6th grade classes just finished studying about the "Renaissance Period". During this unit they also learn about etiquette and how to WALTZ! They conclude with the "Kings & Queens Ball" It is one of my favorite events at Taylor Elementary!!
All of the students come in their best dress and enjoy a "formal"...as formal as you can get in 6th grade ;) ...meal where the teachers and a few of the parents help serve it to them.
After they eat they have a dance which includes 2 required "slow song waltzes", one with their assigned partner, and the second with a partner of their choice!
(This one is Cole's choice...ha ha!)
They have such a great time at it, and it is so nice to see them learning about some of the "finer" things in life!!
For a minute anyway!
